Espalier derived from U-shape; both framework branches grow upwards at an angle.
Characteristics:
- 2 framework branches (by means of a T-junction)
- framework branches are trained upwards at an angle (45° to 60°) and
run next to each other in the same direction - fruit wood is grown close to the framework branch
Advice
This espalier form is only suitable as full wind guidance (along a tension wire construction),
so not along a fruit wall.
