Fairly tight and symmetrical espalier shape in the form of a fan.
The framework branches are regularly spaced, are of equal length and fill a semicircle.

Features of standard tree:

• two-dimensional espalier shape with plane-filling framework branches
• framework branches in the shape of a Japanese fan
• espalier shape (almost) mirror symmetric
• without a central branch
• fruit wood is grown quite close to the framework branch (if possible)
