Description

A 3D espalier in the shape of a pyramid. Several framework branches emerge from the base of the trunk and meet at the top. Each framework branch thus forms a ‘wing’. The number of wings is variable, depending on the size of the tree and the experience of the grower.

Features of the espalier form:

  • tree without a continuous central leader
  • several framework branches arise from the base
  • each branch forms a wing:
    • framework branches first diverge laterally
    • then they meet at the top in one point
  • fruit wood is grown close to the framework branches
