At first glance, the Common Pyramid appears to be an ‘ordinary’ tree.
The common pyramid is a conical art form. The tree has a short trunk with branches over the entire trunk extension. Branches are guided diagonally at the base and grow increasingly vertically. The side wood on the framework branches is pruned short.
Features of the espalier form:
one heart branch with branches over the entire trunk extension
framework branches are guided diagonally at the base and grow increasingly vertically
fruit wood is grown close to the framework branches

Opinion
This espalier form is easy to grow, but less recognisable as an espalier form.
The common pyramid is moderately productive and bears small fruits, due to its dense growth habit (shading).
When planting, place a high support pole next to the tree. Use rope to guide the ends of the framework branches to the top of the pole.
