Green Pearl with Espalier Fruit Walls and Full Wind Lines
Villa Augustus has all kinds of espalier fruit trees. Both as a full wind pipe, along garden walls and along a wooden fence. Raised as palmettes, cords and freestanding art forms.
It has many different types of espalier trees * and cultivars in many different espalier forms ** . The fruit grows against straight fruit walls , as a free-standing fruit hedge, against a berceau and as a solitary. The espalier fruit collection has been built since 2006 with the help of espalier fruit specialist Jan Freriks; the trees are very neatly guided.

- authentic grape greenhouses
- orangery with citrus fruits
- restaurant (with many organic and locally produced vegetables)
- water tower from 1882, converted into a striking castle-like hotel.
In 2010 they won the Garden of the Year Award from the renowned English magazine Gardens Illustrated and the Garden Museum (London).

- The restaurant is a contemporary place with delicious fresh food. It is pleasantly busy any time of the day. An ideal place to meet with a friend or for a casual business lunch.
- Also visit the nearby Noah’s Ark : the largest wooden ship in the world (135 meters long, 30 meters wide, 23 meters high). The ship can be reached by waterbus .
