Many estates with espalier fruit trees are owned by the Dutch Nature Conservation Foundation (Vereniging Natuurmonumenten). These locations are often (but not always) freely accessible and can be visited on your own. Some locations are only open during Heritage Day (second weekend in September) or at another Open Day.

At ‘s Graveland you can visit the foundation’s Visitor Center “Gooi en Vechtstreek” *, to obtain information and personal advice, for instance printed routes for walking or cycling.

'Round of Six'

The so called ‘Round of Six’ (Dutch: ‘Rondje van Six’) is a short but popular walking route around country house Jagtlust in ‘s Graveland (near Hilversum). During the walk (800 m) you walk past 8 (!) outdoor places with 6 fruit walls. View walking route and photos about Round of Six .

Note: ‘s Graveland is officially located in the province of Noord-Holland, but is actually bordering the province of Utrecht. So it is centrally located in the Netherlands!
